Two children killed, 4 injured in wall collapse

New Delhi, Jun 14 (UNI) Two children, both girls, were killed and four others injured when a wall collapsed in Geeta Colony area of East Delhi this afternoon.

While the two girls -- Neetu (8) and Kajal (7) -- died almost immediately after the wall of a nursery fell on them at about 1430 hrs, four others were rushed to hospital with injuries, said Fire Brigade officials.

''Of these, while three -- Babita (5), Jyoti (4) and Puja (7) were admitted to the Hedgewar Hospital, fourth victim Mohammad Tukmir is undergoing treatment at the Swami Dayanand Hospital.'' The children were playing in the ditch that had been dug for the next door engineering college, situated opposite a cremation ground in Geeta Colony, when the wall about 5-feet high fell on them, the officials added.
