Three Indian flights cancelled due to strike
Panaji, Jun 14 (UNI) Three inbound Indian (Airlines) flights were cancelled today due to the strike by the airlines' ground staff, even as two flights to and from Mumbai took off from the airport at Dhabolim.
The flights cancelled were Mumbai-Goa, Bangalore-Goa and Calicut-Goa, the airport director Paul Manickam said.
With the commercial staff abstaining from duties in the morning, no fresh tickets were issued and the flights reported about 50 per cent occupation. The movement of private airlines was, however, not affected, he added.
The Airport Corporation Employees Union (ACEU) called off the strike this afternoon.
