Tata Indicom offers unlimited free outgoing calls

Bangalore, June 14: Tata Indicom, the country's fastest growing telecom service provider, today announced the launch of 'Freedom Call Voucher', offering free and unlimited outgoing calls to any local Tata (fixed and mobile) phone.

Speaking to newspersons here, Tata Indicom Karnataka Circle Chief Operating Officer Manzoor Ameen said the voucher was available at just Rs 325 for 30 days and provided Rs 150 bonus talk time for other calls. It also offered attractive rates for calling local mobiles of other service providers at 49 paise per minute. The offer had been launched in all circles and was a significant initiative that further reinforced the company's commitment to make mobiles more affordable and provided greater value to its pre-paid customer, he added.

He said a range of attractive colour handsets like Huawei C 2285, Haier D1200 and Kyocera Topaz were introduced at competitive entry prices.

The mobile phone industry was the fastest growing sector and every month over five million customers were being added. The company had a customer base of 17.1 million across the country and was planning to add one million every month to reach a target of 100 million by 2011, he said.
