Shias condemn attack on mosque in Iraq

Hyderabad, June 14 (UNI) All India Seerat-e-Zehra Committee today condemned the attack on the sacred mosque of Hazrat Imam Hasan Askari, the eleventh Imam of Shia Community, in Samera in Iraq.

According to a release here, Committee General Secretary Ali Raza alleged that the attack was a conspiracy of the US, ''which is bent upon creating hatred and animosity between Shias and Sunnis''.

He urged the Indian Government to communicate to Iraq the aggrieved and hurt feelings of the Shia community over the attack.

He appealed to the Iraq Government to provide tight security to all Shia shrines.
