Pre-monsoon rain in MP
Bhopal, June 14 (UNI) Overnight pre-monsoon showers brought considerable relief to Madhya Pradesh, whose summer death toll stands at 29.
The state capital witnessed rain this evening and the overnight figure was seven cm. A Regional Meteorological Centre source expressed the likelihood of thundershowers in every division of the state over the next 24 hours due to cyclonic circulation over western Uttar Pradesh.
Locations in Madhya Pradesh's eastern, western and central parts recorded a decline of four to five degrees compared to yesterday with maximum temperature ranging between 32 and 37 C. Sheopur district headquarters sizzled at 44 C, the state's hottest. Bhopal recorded a high of 37.4 and a low of 23.8 C.
