Pleasant temperature prevails in Patna

Patna, Jun 14 (UNI) Following yesterday's torrential rain and the subsequent drop in temperature, weather in the capital city of Bihar and its surrounding areas turned somewhat pleasant today.

Though the local Met office recorded the day's maximum temperature at 31.8 degrees Celsius, up from 25 degree Celsius yesterday, with the relative humidity becoming 70 per cent, there was no feeling of having the usual sultry atmosphere.

The weathermen have predicted some spells of light rain and thunder-showers in South-Central Bihar, including at Patna during the night, which might again bring down the temperature and prevent the return of any further heat-wave.

Meanwhile, the Northern districts also experienced about 68.5 mm rain during this morning heralding the arrival of monsoon in those areas too.
