Monsoon revives after few days in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, June 14 (UNI) After a few days' gap, monsoon revived in Kerala and Lakshadweep with heavy rain occurring at most places in the State and the Union Territory.
According to the local weather office, Aluva received the maximum rainfall of nine cm.
The other chief amount of rainfall recorded in cm were Paravur and Alappuzha seven, Amini, Kozhikode, Enamakkal, Chalakkudy four each, Mankompu, Kumarakam and Agathi three each, it said.
Rain would occur in most places in Kerala and at many places in Lakshadweep and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall was likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours, it added.
The office warned of strong onshore winds from the westerly direction along and off Kerala coast and Lakshadweep.
