Speaking to UNI here, National Geo-Physical Research Institute (NGRI) senior scientist R K Chadda said the tremors occurred in Kanaganapalli and Ramagiri villages due to small shocks in the earth.
Stating that the area was not prone to earthquakes and the mild tremor in the two villages was a 'localised phenomena, Mr Chadda said the tremors were so mild that its magnitude was not recorded in NGRI.
However, he said there was a possibility of tremors, measuring three in Richter scale to occur in future in this district.
