MIF alleges Al Qaeda is US-Israel front

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) The Muslim Intellectual Forum (MIF) has accused the US of secretly using Al Qaeda as a front organisation to foster its policies.

Speaking to mediapersons yesterday, Feroze Mithiborewala of MIF said, ''Al Qaeda has a habit of surfacing whenever President Bush is in trouble.'' A number of Al Qaeda cells uncovered in Europe have in fact turned out to be CIA and Mossad cells, he alleged. The 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre was an American-Israeli operation, he added.

Even in India, the latest report of Al Qaeda Hind surfaced the day after a high powered Israeli defence and intelligence delegation arrived here to give advice to the Indian government in combating terror in Jammu and Kashmir. These kind of ''well timed'' incidents are plotted to create fear and confusion, said Mr Feroze.

Meanwhile, the Forum said, it will hold a national conference against fascism and terrorist encounters in August and ''expose the 9/11 incident''.
