Kalam to visit Vidarbha on June 15

Nagpur, June 14: President A P J Abdul Kalam will visit Mahatma Gandhi's Ashram in Sewagram in Wardha tomorrow during his one-day visit to Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Dr Kalam will arrive here in the morning from New Delhi by a special IAF aircraft and immediately proceed for Yavatmal by a helicopter, according to an official press release here.

He will attend a function at a private college in Yavatmal before leaving for Sewagram by the helicopter in the afternoon, the press release said. After visiting the Ashram he will attend a function at Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University there, the release said.

Later, the President will attend a function at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) before leaving for Nagpur by the helicopter.

In Nagpur, Dr Kalam will attend a programme at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) before returning to New Delhi by the special IAF aircraft on the same evening, the press release added.
