Nagaland: James Kuki arrested in Dimapur

Kohima, Jun 14: James Kuki, the prime accused in the sensational kidnapping and murder of a former Manipur minister's daughter, was arrested by a Special Team of the Dimapur police from Signal Basti last Friday.

Dimapur Superintendent of Police Bidhu Shekhar in a release here today informed that James was the prime accused in the kidnapping and murder of Elizabeth Lungnila, daughter of former Manipur minister Francis Ngajokpa. He was wanted by the CBI in this case.

James had been evading arrest since 2003.

Bidhu Shekhar disclosed that James Kuki was handed over to the CBI officials, who took him to Imphal for further investigation.
