Jabalpur, June 14 (UNI) An action plan is being chalked out to develop this cantonment town into a tourism circuit in order to keep famous tourism spots in Madhya Pradesh free from power cuts.

Power Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya told UNI here today that Jabalpur was home to tourist spot Bheraghat.

Besides, Kanha National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park and Pench sanctuary were located in 200 km-range.

He said developing Jabalpur into a tourism circuit would make reaching these tourist spots easier besides creating employment opportunities in backward Mahakaushal region.

Directions had been issued for constructing superior-quality roads so that connectivity was improved.

Effective marketing of tourist spots would attract Indian and foreign tourists.

He said during Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's foreign trip, investors had expressed their desire to invest money in five-star hotel sector in tourist spots in Madhya Pradesh.

The government had directed concerned departments to identify land in this regard.

In order to develop the state into a cheap tourist destination, the government was committed to making hotels and other facilities available to tourists at cheap rates.
