InterfaceFlor expands India operations

Bangalore, June 14 (UNI) InterfaceFLOR, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of modular commercial flooring, today announced the setting up of a hundred per cent subsidiary, InterfaceFLOR India Pvt. Ltd. with headquarters in Bangalore.

InterfaceFLOR was the modular flooring division of Interface Inc., based in Atlanta, USA.

Announcing the India expansion, Lindsey Parnell, President and CEO, InterfaceFLOR in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, said that "we have been selling carpet tiles for commercial use in India since 2001 primarily to the office segment. In the last seven years, we have sold more than 1.4 million sq. mts. of carpet tiles in India and have built a base of over 200 customers." "In response to customer demands we have set up a full service operation in India offering a full range of products and services to customers and business partners. We expect a 30 per cent year on year growth and hope to achieve the one million sq. metre mark in sales in 2009", he added.
