Indian flights take off, traffic normalises in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Jun 14 (UNI) With the nationwide strike of 'Indian' called off, flights commenced as per schedule from the Sardar Patel International Airport here today.
''As the workers started coming to Mumbai Airport, workers at domestic and international airports of Ahmedabad also attended work today. All flights of 'Indian' are on time and as per schedule,'' Airport Director Suresh Dutt Awasthi told UNI.
''There is no delay,'' Mr Awasthi added.
The strike was called off after an agreement was reached between striking employees and the airline management earlir today.
Frontline staff manning the counters, loaders, cleaners and cabin crew had gone on a strike since June 12 after talks between the management and the largest union had failed.
