'Indian' flight leaves on schedule from Bhopal
Bhopal, June 14 (UNI) The Mumbai-Indore-Bhopal-Delhi 'Indian' flight took off on schedule this morning from the local Raja Bhoj Airport despite a strike -- later called off -- by more than 12,000 airline employees.
''There was no delay,'' Indian's Station Manager Feroz Khan told UNI.
The strike was called off after an agreement was reached between striking employees and the airline management.
Frontline staff manning the counters, loaders, cleaners and cabin crew went on strike on June 12 after talks between the management and the largest union failed. The Air Corporation Employees Union accused the management of reneging on assurances for arrears and better promotional prospects.
