I am surprised, says Pratibha Patil

New Delhi, June 14 (UNI) ''I am surprised,'' was the first reaction of Mrs Pratibha Patil after she was today named the UPA-Left nominee for the office of President.

''I never expected that I will be considered for the highest constitutional post in the country,'' the Rajasthan Governor told UNI on telephone while returning by train from Mount Abu to Jaipur.

''I am really very honoured,'' she said.
