Haryana approves Rs 57 crore by-passes
Chandigarh, Jun 14 (UNI) In order to ease congestion in cities and ensure smooth flow of traffic, the Haryana government has sanctioned eight by-passes which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 57.82 crore.
Four of these by-passes would be constructed at Jind while the remaining four would be built at Kaithal, Safidon, Kahanaur and Kharkhauda, Parliamentary Secretary Paramvir Singh said today.
Mr Paramvir Singh said that Gohana road to Assandh Road by-pass would be constructed at a cost of Rs 7.11 crore at Jind and Jind-Bhiwani road to Hansi road by-pass at a cost of Rs 5.02 crore.
Similarly, Northern by-pass to Gohana road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.29 crore at Jind and Assandh road to Narwana road by-pass at Jind at a cost of Rs 1.75.
A by-pass would also be constructed at Kaithal at a cost of Rs 20 crore and a by-pass at a cost of Rs 3.88 crore was also under construction at Safidon, he said.
A by-pass for Kahanaur in Rohtak district had been approved by the Government and it would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.17 crore, he added.
He said similarly by-passes would also be constructed at Mahendergarh, Narnaul, Dadri, Sirsa, Kosli, Sonipat, Charra, Farrukh Nagar and Uchana. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) and estimate of these by-passes were also prepared by the government.
