Gold ornaments lifted from a bus in Vadodara

Vadodara, Jun 14 (UNI) A major theft of gold ornaments was reported from a private luxury bus from Ahmedabad, on way to Nashik, when it stopped at a hotel in Jambuva village, near here, last night.

Hiren Vinod Shah and his friend Bauthik Soni, residents of Ahmedabad, were on their way to Nashik to change the design of the gold ornaments they purchased from a Manekchowk Gold Jeweller in Ahmedabad for Rs 9,15,000. The designs were old and the duo wanted to change it to their liking at Nashik.

The bus driver stopped at Babaramdevji Hotel at 0045 hrs for light refreshment. Hiren and Bauthik also got down leaving behind the suitcase, containing the ornaments, in the bus. After light refreshment when the duo entered the bus they found to their horror that the suitcase containing the ornaments was missing.

The bus was taken to Makarpura police station and a complaint was filed.
