Extortionist held

Varanasi, Jun 14 (UNI) The district police arrested a youth for making extortion calls to a hospital owner here today.

Virendra Yadav was nabbed from the Lanka area here for demanding an extortion of Rs 10 lakh from a private hospital owner of Sir Govardhan locality.

The accused confessed of making extortion calls and sending letters to the hospital owner in the name of underworld don Munna Bajrangi.

Investigations were underway.
