Eight Indian flights cancelled

Hyderabad, Jun 14 (UNI) The nationwide strike called by the ground staff of Indian affected the operations from the Begumpet Airport here, with the cancellation of eight flights today.

Indian (Indian Airlines) PRO C Krishnan told UNI that three Hyderabad-Chennai flights, three Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad-Mumbai and the Hyderabad-Kuwait flights were cancelled.

He said the Hyderabad-Delhi, Hyderabad-Bangalore and Hyderabad-Singapore flights, however, took off as scheduled .

More than 700 Indian staffs are participating in the strike, to press their demands.
