Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) After languishing in jail for almost four long years, Iqbal Kaskar, brother of fugitive underworld kingpin Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, was today released from the high security Arthur Road jail.

Around noon, after coming out of the jail premises, Iqbal waved out to mediapersons and then accompanied by a relative, proceeded to meet his elder sister Haseena Parkar, who still resides in the infamous Nagpada area.

Yesterday, Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) Judge Mridula Bhatkar had acquitted him and five others including a BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) officer from all charges levelled against them due to lack of sufficient evidence in Sara and Sahara illegal construction case.

Earlier, Iqbal was deported from Dubai on Feb 19, 2003 and had been incarcerated since then.
