Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) The Designated TADA court today pulled up cine actor and 1993 Mumbai serial blast convict Sanjay Dutt for giving an interview to media persons on the ongoing court proceedings.

Special TADA judge P D Kode pulled up Dutt after special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam told the court that in an interview to a TV channel one of the convicts on bail had alleged that the presiding officer of the TADA court was partial to him while he was found guilty.

Judge Kode asked the name of the convict to which Adv Nikam pointed out towards Dutt, who was sitting in the dock, wearing an olive green shirt, and blue coluor jeans, along with his three associates.

On hearing this, the judge called Dutt and his three associates to the witness box. Dutt, however, denied, making any such statement or even giving such interview to any channel.

An anguished judge Kode said that court is in process of awarding sentences to the convicts and in past also court had asked Dutt not to speak to the media till the case was concluded.

He also asked the public prosecutor Nikam to move an application to the court so that an action could be initiated against the convict.

Meanwhile, the court adjourned the matter till Mr Nikam files the application in this regard.
