Couple lovers commit suicide

Allahabad, June 14 (UNI) A couple today committed suicide at Asaha village under Paschim Sharira police station area in the neighbouring Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh.

Bodies of Lekhpal, alias Dukkhan (40), and his wife Anarkali (30) were found hanging from a rope in their house.

Recently, Lekhpal had fallen in love with a woman of his village.

When the villagers came to know about it, they referred the matter to a 'panchayat', which rebuked Lekhpal and asked him to leave the village.

Aggrieved over the same, the couple ended their life.

A case had been registered and the bodies sent for a post-mortem.
