CISF jawan arrested, sent to 14 days jail custody

Purulia, Jun 14 (UNI) A CISF jawan, who was arrested by the Purulia police here yesterday, was sent to jail custody of 14 days today.

Rashunatipur Judicial Magistrate Krishna Kumar Prasad today passed an order to send the jawan to 14 days of jail custody.

The jawan, posted at Bhajudih colliery in Santaldih area here, had allegedly raped a woman in the village.

A complained was lodged against him in Santaldih police station following which he was arrested and produced before the Rashunatipur court.

The victim had been sent to Sardar Debes Mahto hospital for medical examination.
