Call money ends at 3.00-3.25 per cent
Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Call money rates remained steady and closed at 3.00-3.25 per cent today compared to the previous close of 3.00-3.25 per cent.
During the day, it touched a high of 3.25 per cent and a low of 2.75 per cent.
Speculation of an impending cash crunch in the banking system kept traders away from the market and the liquidity tightened further, opined dealers.
An auction of Rs 22,OOO crore RBI bond will take place on Friday. RBI has already auctioned more than Rs 30,OOO crore bonds this week.
Payments of Rs 22,000 crore will go out from the system as coporate tax this week. The government will also auction Rs 6,OOO crore bonds on Friday, dealers added.
