Acer launches lowcost notebook
Bangalore, June 14 (UNI) Acer India, the third largest PC vendor in the world, today announced the Indian launch of its Aspire 3680 series low priced notebook, targeted at empowering the common man with complete computing technology at an affordable price.
The company, in a release here, said Aspire 3680 series, the latest introduction to Acer's attractive range of notebooks, used a Celeron M 430 (1.73 GHz) or above for increased power and excellent performance. With a system memory of 256 mb, a 14.1 inch Wide screen and Combo drive, it was a complete Notebook in every sense of the word.
With a Linux operating system, the Acer Aspire 3680 series would now be available at Rs 19,999, excluding carry case and taxes. This included a special limited period offer of Rs 2,500 as cash back on purchases till June 25 or stocks last, whichever was earlier, the company said.
Acer had been a pioneer in opening up notebook to the common man in India by consistently focussing on making technology affordable to the common man. The company was the first to break the sub 60k, 50k, 40k and 30k price barrier in India and continued its tradition of offering the best value for money product in the market by breaking the 20k price point and opening up the notebook to a completely new target customer.
