4 autolifters arrested after encounter

Hardoi, June 14 (UNI) Police arrested four autolifters after an encounter in City Kotwali area here last night, Superintendent of Police Rajkumar said today.

A stolen luxury car was also seized from their possession.

The encounter took place near Kardapur village, that led to the arrest of Deepak Gupta, Ashish Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Gopal Merwani.

The accused had stolen the car of Gulzar Ahmad and were on way to Hardoi to sell the car, when they were intercepted by the cops.

The quartet had been sent to jail.
