TN: 3 flights cancelled as strike enters second day

Tiruchirapalli, June 14: National airlines 'Indian' cancelled all the three flights operating via Tiruchirapalli, following the indefinite strike called by ground staff of the 'Indian' continuing for a third day today.

Indian Area Marketing Manager T H Radhakrishna told sources here this morning that the Trichy-Chennai flight (IC 590) scheduled to depart at 0740 hrs, Trichi-Chennai flight (IC 522) scheduled to depart at 1100 hrs and Tiruchirapalli-Thiruvananthapuram-Sharjah (IC 967) scheduled to depart at 1345 hrs were cancelled due to the strike.

He said the flight from Tiruchirapalli to Chennai (IC 968) scheduled to depart at 0050 hrs tomorrow was also cancelled.
