Uttar Pradesh: Under trial escapes

Lucknow, June 13: An undertrial managed to escape from the running Chhattisgarh Express, when it crossed the Agra cantt area.

Police said an under trial Manoj Kumar, who was facing term in Meerut jail, fled from the clutches of police while he was being brought from Chhattisgarh Express (8238) yesterday.

Manoj was an accused in a robbery case at Durg area and was taken there for a hearing, police said.

A case has been registered and hunt to nab the accused launched.
