Two children drown in canal

Ferozabad, June 13 (UNI) Two children were drowned in a canal at Shikohabad area near here.

Police today said the incident took place last evening, when three children of New Ramgarh Colony had gone to visit a temple, where they decided to bathe in the Bhuda canal.

While swimming in the canal, Pankaj (14) and Dinesh (16) were caught in a whirlpool and drownred.

However, the third managed to swim out of the canal.

On getting the information, the local police launched an operation to fish out the bodies from the canal. The search was on till the filing of news.
