Sugar prices ease further on sluggish demand

Navi Mumbai, Jun 13 (UNI) Sugar prices eased further on sluggish demand, traders at the Vashi Sugar Merchant's Association said today.

Sugar ex-mill small grade remained steady on moderate demand while medium grade fell by Rs four per quintal on improved offers by stockists.

Sugar ex-mill small and medium grades also slashed by Rs ten and Rs three per quintal respectively on thin buying support.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,296/1,336, Medium grade: Rs 1,331/1,390, Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,270/1,300, Medium grade: Rs 1,315/1,350.
