Raj Hans Singh opposes proposed water cut

Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) The BMC administation should not impose water cuts as there is enough water in the lakes supplying water to the city, Opposition Leader in the BMC Raj Hans Singh has said.

Mr Singh said he and his party will oppose the decision to cut water supply by 20 per cent in the city.

The BMC administration has decided to impose the water cut in view of the late arrival of the Monsoon. Mr Singh said all lakes, supplying water to the city, have adequate water and just because the Monsoon has been delayed, Mumbaikars should not be inconvenienced.
