NSCN-IM refutes involvement in Asom killings

Kohima, Jun 13 (UNI) The NSCN-IM has denied involvement in the recent killings of two Executive Members and one Chief Executive Member of the North Cachar Autonomous District Council at Haflong in Asom.

Reacting to a news telecast by a private channel accusing the outfit's involvement in the killings, the Ministry of Information and Publicity(MIP) of NSCN-IM in a release clarified that NSCN had nothing to do with the killings of the three persons as it had no 'dispute' with the Council Members.

Further, the NSCN-IM condemned the killings and described the act as 'unfortunate'.
