Minister suspends 3 civil engineers

Lucknow, June 13 (UNI) Rural Engineering Services minister Rangnath Mishra today suspended three officials, including the executive engineer, after they were found guilty of irregularities in the ongoing road construction work.

Mr Mishra reached Sirauti-Muhammadpur link road in Unnao district for a surprise inspection, where he noted the usage of inferior quality material.

He suspended the executive engineer, assistant engineer and junior engineer charging them with misappropriation of government funds and maintaining poor quality of work.

The minister had also ordered an inquiry against the contractor.

He warned all the engineers and contractors that they will be booked under financial crime rules and cases would be lodged against them if their work did not conform to standards.
