Bangalore, June 13 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.
Very heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Manki, Agumbe 18 each.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Mulki, Shirali 11 each; Honavar 10, Karwar 8; Mangalore, Kundapur, Mundargi 7 each.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Panambur, Kota, Bhatkal, Sringeri 6 each; Mangalore AP, Siddapura, Bhagamandala, Hadagalli 5 each; Puttur, Karkala 4 each; Ankol, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Jayapura, Mandya, Bharamasagara, Koratagere 3 each.
Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga&Hassan districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over remaining districts of the State.
Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.
Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall is expected over the State.
Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night.
