A top police official told UNI that acting on a tip-off, a special team of the Pudukkottai Town police raided the house of 55-year-old agent K A S Ramadoss at Annanagar in Tennur area of the city and arrested him.

Later, Ramadoss was taken to the Pudukottai town police station where the special team interrogated him over his involvement in the illegal sale of lottery tickets of other states in Tamil Nadu through agents.

Police registered cases against Ramadoss under various sections of Lotteries Regulation Act.

The agent, who was produced before a Magistrate's court in Pudukottai, was remanded to 15 days judicial custody.
