IMA motorcycle expedition flagged off
Chandigarh, June 13 (UNI) A motorcycle expedition comprising five officers and 17 cadets of the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, was flagged off from Chandimandir today by Western Command's Chief of staff Lt Gen A N Aul.
The 22-member expedition team led by Major D S Patwal,, which includes two women officers, arrived here last evening.
The expedition is being undertaken from Dehradun to Siachen as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations of the IMA.
With the aim of spreading the message of peace and harmony, the expedition will, pass through Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Punjab and is likely to return to Dehradun on July 05.
