Four rebels held in Asom after violence spurt

Guwahati, Jun 13 (UNI) Police have arrested three suspected ULFA rebels at Hajo, hours after the town was rocked by a blast this morning.

Police sources said the trio - Madhuram Deka, Ganesh Thakuria and Kisore Das-are suspected to have carried out today's blast in the town, about 50 km from Guwahati.

The accused were being interrogated.

At least three persons were killed and over 45 others injured in today's blast at a market in Hajo.

In another incident, 2 Bihar Regiment of the 181 Mountain Brigade apprehended two suspected ULFA cadres from Makum Market in Tinsukia district.

They were handed over to police.
