DUTA holds demonstration
New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Members of the Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) today held a demonstration to protest against the ''arbitrary'' decisions of the Vice Chancellor.
DUTA alleged that the decision to shift Department of Slavonic and Finno Ugrian studies to the North Campus on June 9 was in total disregard of the University Statute.
''The move is also against DUTA resolutions of April 25 and May 18,'' said DUTA member Ranjana Saxena.
Condemning the decision as ''undemocratic'', DUTA demanded that the department be shifted back to the South campus to restore ''student friendly and democratic atmosphere'' in the University.
