Crime Stoppers Foundation opens second regional office

Tirupati, June 13 (UNI) The Hyderabad-headquartered non-profit public charitable trust Crime Stoppers Foundation (CSF) today opened its second regional office here, after Visakhapatnam.

Speaking on the occasion, CSF President and former IG and Director of Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratories Dr K P C Gandhi said CSF had state-of-the-art facilities to collect information from anywhere in the globe.

He said the names of citizens who provide would be kept a secret and CSF would extend assistance, guidance and support to the providers of information relating to crimes, criminals and other unlawful activities by providing witness support and victim support services.

CSF Founder and former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer M V S Prasad said CSF was planning to ink an MoU with the state government for moving the cases fast and effective.

Functioning of stoppers would be extended to all major cities by the end of 2007 and by the end of 2008 to all state headquarters.
