Change inevitable in highly competitive world: Infosys CEO

Bangalore, June 13 (UNI) Dealing with business environment especially in high technology sector, the management of change to adapt to new situation remains to be the biggest challenge to address, Infosys Technologies CEO and Managing Director Nandan Nilekani today said.

Making a presentation at a panel discussion organised by Natural Search Internet Solutions on 'Managing Change from the Human Capital Perspective,' he observed 'change' was part and parcel of life and business.

''One has to remain alive to see what is happening out there and adopt it one's life and work,'' he said.

While observing that dealing with the business environment, that too, with high growth dynamics which were changing rapidly all the time, one could ill-afford to remain complacent.

Though everyone does not appreciate 'change,' it was necessary to convince them on the inevitability of it before imposing it for the better.

''One should look at the change and instead of avoiding it, he or she should embrace it and there is a need to create a culture to make people adopt to a change,'' he added.

The other panelists included Mr Pranesh Ananthpur COO, R&D, Yahoo! India, Mr Ranjan Acharya, VP, Corporate HRD, Wipro and Mr Sudeesh Venkatesh, Head HR, Tesco also participated.
