Branded and high-energy Sugar Cane drink launched
Bangalore, Jun 13 (UNI) For the first time in the country a city based food and catering company Cane-o-la Foods Private Limited today launched a branded and hygienic fresh sugar cane juice drink cane-o-la.
Speaking to newsmen after the launch, Cane-o-la Chairman and Managing director G Srinviasa Rao said that arrangements with the selected farmers has been made to raise sugar cane of a recommended variety as suggested by the Coimbatore based sugar cane research institute. The procured sugar cane would be brought to nearby processing unit where the cane would be peeled using imported machines and the same would be made available to the sales outlets situated in various parts of the city.
He said the sugar cane supplied to the outlets would be kept in regulated temperature conditions and juice would be supplied to the consumers in a most hygienic form. The sugar cane extracting machine with 316 One grade acid proof stainless steel and was the first of its kind in India. The machine had been imported from the USA and facilitates smooth operations with the production of fresh sugar cane juice in a single pass.
Mr Rao said that the introduction of cane-o-la was a part of the campaign against the aerated chemical contained multinational drinks which has not only medicinal value but also a rich nutrient contents.
He said that company has plans to introduce a totally natural, healthy and hygienic desi refreshment product by opening sugar cane juice kiosks in prime locations and shopping malls nation-wide.
He said that the estimated consumption of sugar cane juice in Bangalore city which was being served in most unhygienic conditions was of about one lakh liters per day and expressed confidence that the attempt to provide natural drinks produced using world class technology in every sip would be welcomed by the quality conscious consumers. Fresh sugar cane juice will now be promoted as a nation wide drink thereby it also helps the farming community. The company which procures sugar cane directly from farmers would pay lucrative price and also assured income.
The company also has plans to diversify into production and development of organic jaggery base food and confectionery, which has promising potential, he added.
