BJP alleges kickbacks in manali ski village project
Shimla, Jun 13 (UNI) A senior Himachal Pradesh BJP leader today alleged kickbacks in the setting up of the Himalayan Ski Village at Manali in Kullu district, saying it is the only reason for hurrying with the project.
Senior party leader and former spokesman Ganesh Dutt said despite opposition from environmentalists, locals and leaders from all political parties, the government's decision to go ahead with the project smacks of huge kickbacks.
The BJP government on returning to power after the next assembly elections would not only scrap this project but would reconsider every other project that was against the interests of the people, he said.
Mr Dutt alleged since several persons in the government had received huge kickbacks, it was finding it difficult to scrap it now and was thus resorting to initiate work on the project at the earliest.
