Websense launches Content Protection Suite

Mumbai, June 12: US-based security software maker Websense today launched a comprehensive software to prevent data leaks.

The software, Websense Content Protection Suite, is equipped with information leak prevention capabilities like Web categorisation and filtering, which assures a new level of information protection to companies.

The new software, which uses high-end technology of content and context awareness, leverage Web intelligence by integrating Websense's URL database and ThreatSeeker malicious content classification technology, a company statement said here.

''Websense makes the difficult process of protecting your information easier through intelligent content security. The context-based data recognition system offer accuracy to enforce powerful, user-specific data sharing policies,'' said Websense CEO Gene Hodges.

According to the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, over 150 million personal data records have been compromised with data leaks worldwide over the past two years.

Over 25 million users worldwide are beneficiaries of Wensense security software that checks external and internal computer security threats, the release added.
