Undertrial murdered in Karnataka jail

Bangalore, Jun 12 (UNI) A fight between two inmates culminated in the death of an undertrial at the Central Jail located Parappana Agrahara on the outskirts of the city today.

According to jail officials two prisoners, both undertrials, were involved in a fight when they were let out for breakfast and one of them was killed after he was hit by a boulder.

The sources said that the deceased was identified as Abdul Sadiq who was declared brought dead at the NIMHANS hospital by the police.

The other undertrial involved in the fighting was identified as Gopal, an accused in a murder case and undergoing judicial custody.

The cause for fighting was not known, the sources added.
