Udupi records 11 cm rain
Bangalore, June 12 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Udupi 11; Mangalore 8.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mulki, Shirahatti 6 each; Chitradurga 5; Ankola, Karwar, Badami, Chikmagalur 4 each; Panambur, Shirali, Basaralu, Ramagiri, Malur, Srinivasapura 3 each; Mangalore AP, Mundargi, Nargund, Chikballapur, Kolar, Pavgada 2 each; Kota, Bhatkal, Haveri, Gadag, Navalgund, Kottigehara, Sargur, Bangarpet, Mulbagal, Nelamanagala, Magadi, Hoskote, Malavalli, Turuvekere 1 each.
Maximum temperatures rose at a few places and were above normal at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.3 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga&Hassan districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours.
Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 32 degree celsius.
