Three sentenced to life in a murder case

Rourkela,Jun 12(UNI) Adhoc Additional Judge Madhumita Das has sentenced one Mangulu Munda, his father Bikram Munda and uncle Gangaram Munda to life imprisonment in a murder case.

In his judgment passed yesterday the Judge also ordered a fine of Rs.10,000 to each of the three convicted persons failing which they would undergo imprisonment for another one year.

According to the prosecution,Kansara Munda wife of Siraka Munda of Bhalupani village had been to weekly market on January 24 last to purchase vegetable.

When Siraka saw his wife with nephew Munglu Munda,he became furious and scolded her.Mangulu however, protested but later the matter was amicable settled.

Both Siraka and Mangulu later consume country liquor together where both had a scuffle over the matter.Mangulu who became revengeful,later took his uncle Siraka to a place where his father Bikram and another uncle Gangaram joined and they hacked Siraka to death by an axe.

Siraka's wife Kansara reported the matter at Tikayetpalli police station under Sundergarh police district.Police registered a case under section 302/506/34 of the IPC,arrested all the three accused persons and forwarded them to the court to face trial.
