Silver down by Rs 65 per kg

Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Both the precious metals moved downwards on lack of fresh demand with Silver easing by Rs 65 per kg and Gold by Rs 20 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Association.

Silver fineness .999 opened high at Rs 18,385 on good demand.

Later, it declined on lack of fresh demand and closed at Rs 18,310 with a loss of Rs 65 from yesterday's close of Rs 18,375.

In London, Silver remained steady at USD 13.11/13.15 per troy ounce against USD 13.11/13.15 per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened upwards at Rs 8,670 and Rs 8,720 per ten gm respectively on better buying support.

Later, the yellow metal moved downwards and closed at Rs 8,640 and Rs 8,690 per ten gm respectively with a loss of Rs 20 each from its last close.

In London, Gold stood at USD 649.00/652.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 649.00/652.00 per troy ounce in New York on Monday.
