Rupee trades stronger at 40.76 per dollar
Mumbai, June 12: Strong capital flows towards Indian equities pushed Rupee to an intra-day peak of 40.76/77 in the early day session as compared to last close of 40.79/80.
However, the fear of Reserve Bank intervention on Rupee's gains prevailed among the investors, said traders. Rupee had touched a fresh nine year peak of 40.28 a few days back.
Rupee has risen more than eight per cent this year and remains as Asia's strongest currency.
According to market sources, Central bank has bought USD 2.06 billion in April.
