Reduce distribution losses, or face action: Dr Pandey

Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) managing director Dr Ajay Bhushan Pandey has warned officials in the Mumbra sub-division that they would face action if they fail to bring down distribution losses from the present 68 per cent to 30.

A review meeting was held at the MSEDCL head quarters today, wherein it was reported that distribution losses in Mumbra sub division was as high as 68 per cent.

Dr Pandey told the officials from Bhandup zone present in the meeting including chief engineer Anil Kharpade and acting superintending engineer Satish Karpe, that all officers and even the linesmen will be held responsible if the distribution losses are not brought down to 30 per cent within the next three months.

He warned that severe action, including transfers and disciplinary action, will be initiated if remedial action was not taken immediately.

Mr Kharpade and Mr Karpe assured Dr Pandey that a massive drive against power thefts would be launched in Mumbra sub-division.
